Ireland South MEP hosts major conference on gender-based violence

An Ireland South MEP says that conversations are essential across sectors in order to eliminate gender- based violence.

Sinn Féin MEP Kathleen Funchion recently hosted a major conference on gender-based violence.

The conference at the Savoy Hotel in Limerick focused on sharing best practices and amplifying the voices of those working to combat domestic, sexual and gender-based violence.

Speakers included representatives from Adapt, Women’s Aid, One Million Stars and the Children’s Rights Alliance.

Those presenting on the day outlined what’s working, where gaps remain, and what supports are urgently needed.
