Willie Connors knew that he and his Tipperary teammates were in a good place heading into this year’s All-Ireland SHC final against Cork, so much so that he was cracking jokes beforehand.

Connors is one of the great characters within the Premier dressing room and the Kiladanagan clubman was intent on making the most of his first start on the biggest day of the hurling calendar.
