There is little worse than having to wait for a new season of your favorite television series, especially in the streaming age. While streaming platforms and their original entertainment has given tv fans a rich entertainment landscape of shows to choose from and get hooked on, sometimes the production cycles are lengthy, meaning it can be years between seasons, causing fan anticipation to grow higher and higher. That’s certainly the case for Netflix’s massive hit, Bridgerton. The series ended its third season in June 2024, and fans have been eagerly awaiting the next chapter. Now, even with the beloved series set to return in January, you’ll be able to watch the Season 4 premiere two weeks early.
On Wednesday, Netflix Tudum announced a special Bridgerton Season 4 Premiere Masquerade event. The fan event will take place live on Tudum on January 14, 2026, beginning at 11:30 am CT, but it’s no ordinary live event. The event will include preshow festivities, red carpet interviews, a special performance (the details of which Netflix is keeping close to the vest at this time,) and, of course, the Season 4 premiere featuring a live virtual screening of the first episode. The first part of Season 4 will arrive properly on Netflix on January 29th with the second half to follow in February. As for how to attend what is sure to be the biggest event of the season, all fans need to do RSVP by 9:30 pm. PT on January 13th at Netflix’s event site here.
Bridgerton Season 4 Promises a Cinderella-Style Love Story (And Could Be the Most Exciting Yet)

As is the case with each season of Bridgerton, Season 4 will focus on a new romance, this time following the free-spirited Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) searching for the masked and mysterious lady he was charmed by at a masquerade ball — Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). The problem? Sophie is the illegitimate child of an Earl and is of a lower social status, having been treated as lesser and in servitude to her stepmother, Lady Araminta Gun (Katie Leung). The season is based on author Julia Quinn’s third novel in the Bridgerton series, An Offer From a Gentleman, and that novel was deeply inspired by the classic fairy tale Cinderella.
If a fairy tale-inspired story wasn’t enough to make Season 4 of Bridgerton enticing, the new season will also see the return of some beloved familiar faces. Ruth Gemmell is set to return as matriarch Lady Violet Bridgerton along with Hannah Dodd and Florence Hunt as daughters Francesca and Hyacinth. Adjoa Andoh is returning as Lady Agatha Danbury and Polly Walker is set to return as Lady Portia Featherington and, of course, fan-favorite Jonathan Bailey is back as Anthony Bridgerton as well.
Bridgerton Season 4 returns on January 29, 2026. The first episode will get a special, livestreaming event on January 14th on Netflix.
