Kate Middleton’s latest fashion success relies on nothing less than a pair of suede boots and a tartan coat.
As is tradition every December 25th, the British Royal Family attended the Christmas Day service at Sandringham, an event that always culminates at the family estate with a luncheon hosted by the King and Queen. Kate Middleton and Prince William and their children George, Louis, and Charlotte led (of course) the procession to the church, providing another opportunity to admire the Princess of Wales’s impeccable style.
For the occasion, she opted for a structured brown tartan coat from the Italian brand Blazé Milano, double-breasted and cinched at the waist to further accentuate her silhouette. She completed the look with a plaid skirt peeking out slightly from under the coat, brown suede heeled boots , a patterned scarf around her neck, and gloves that harmonized with the color palette. Her long honey-blonde hair was elegantly adorned with a fascinator, adding a regal touch perfect for the event.

But beyond this winning combination of suede boots and a plaid coat— two must-haves for the 2025/26 fall/winter season —royal Christmas isn’t just about style. The Windsor family often shares moments during this time of year that reflect their warmth and naturalness. Just a few weeks ago, Prince William and Kate Middleton released their own Christmas card (a previously unseen holiday portrait in which they appeared perfectly coordinated with their children), while yesterday they surprised everyone with a video of Middleton and Charlotte demonstrating their piano skills.
All these images together reinforce the feeling that, although tradition remains central to these holidays for the royals, there’s still room for a more natural approach. And with the new year just around the corner, we hope they continue to share moments (and looks) as striking as these.
