Former Cork goalie Donal Og Cusack has announced his engagement to long-term partner Nathan Adams after the question was popped on Christmas Day this year. The All-Ireland winner took to social media to share the news with followers earlier this week.
The couple have been together for just over a decade, having celebrated their 10-year anniversary in 2025. In a sweet video shared on Instagram, the couple posed on the stunning coast as Nathan captioned the post: “25-12-25 @donalogc Happy Christmas to all.”
The comments were flooded with kind messages from followers and friends, as one person wrote: “Ahhhhh so happy for you!!! Huge congratulations.”
“Aww congrats to you both,” said another.
A third commented: “Awww, wonderful news guys! Huge congratulations.”
“Huge congrats to ye both such a beautiful video,” said another.
Donal Og and Nathan share a stunning new home together in Cloyne, Co. Cork with their two dogs, after it was completed recently. Donal Og’s first public relationship was confirmed in 2015 when it was revealed he was dating Nathan.
Confirming their romance at the time, Nathan simply said: “And yes, we are in love”. The duo prefers to maintain a low-key profile as a couple while managing their thriving careers. Nathan, a former model, is a well-regarded businessman and PR manager in Cork, working with various brands, including his own rapidly growing digital marketing agency.
After the first year of his burgeoning business, Nathan expressed his gratitude towards his partner on Instagram: “Started off in the spare room at home building up @rmpragency and we are now working with some very well-known businesses who have now became good friends.
“To anyone that is reading this, thank you for supporting me and my crazy journey.. and a huge thank you to my better half @donalogc for supporting me in everything I do.”
Over the years, Nathan and Donal Óg have made public appearances together at Pride and GAA events around the country. They were also guests at the wedding of Davy Fitzgerald and Sharon O’Loughlin at Dromoland Castle in October 2019. They also attended another wedding alongside Miriam Mullins and her boyfriend, Tiaan.
They briefly opened up about their time together during Donal Óg’s recent appearance on RTÉ’s Keys to My Life. Presenter Brendan Courtney asked them how long they were together, to which Nathan joked: “This man would say we got together since last weekend.”
Donal Óg quickly replied to say: “Too long at this stage.”
Before Nathan said: “We are actually together nine years.”
The couple celebrated 10 years together in July. Taking to Instagram to mark the milestone anniversary, Nathan simply wrote: “10 years together @donalogc.”
