Met Éireann has warned that Ireland will face a bitterly cold end to the year as temperatures are set to plummet well below freezing over the next few days.

While the forecast is predicted to stay dry, plenty of warm clothes will be needed to bundle up against the frosty chill, as temperatures could get as low as -3C.

In their overview for the days ahead, Met Éireann wrote: “Largely settled with high pressure remaining close to Ireland. Mostly dry but cloudier overall with the odd patch of drizzle possible.”

Here’s the full weather forecast for the next few days.
