No bugle sounds as Michael O’Leary arrives in a flurry into his office in Airside, 20 minutes behind schedule.

But he is looking sharp. He had diverted to the nearby Pavilions Shopping Centre for a haircut and was held up by early Monday morning shoppers queuing to get into the car park three days before Christmas.
