He’s still so grounded and still very funny.”
From silence to comfort on sets
Sonam revealed that it took time for them to become comfortable with each other. She said that they didn’t interact much during their first film ‘Punjab 1984’.Things changed during ‘Super Singh’. “It was a romantic comedy and he was playing a superhero in it. There’s that comfort now.”Sonam recalled a fun ‘Border 2’ shoot moment. “There’s a scene in Border 2… We didn’t interact much before filming it but while shooting for it, we ended up laughing so much.” She shared Diljit’s words: “Come on Sonam! Because of you we can’t do more takes!”
Director’s vision
Sonam also remembered Diljit from ‘Punjab 1984’. “The film was directed by Anurag Singh. It was a serious film, and the atmosphere on set was also serious.” She added, “But Diljit lightened up the situation. He didn’t intend to be funny. It’s just that he’s innately humorous and endearing.”Actor Ahan Shetty also spoke about ‘Border 2’. He said in an interview with ANI that the film is a tribute. “Anurag Singh understands that authenticity cannot be manufactured; it has to be earned,” he said.He added, “I had to understand what my character was carrying into every moment, the weight of his training, the responsibility to his team, and the knowledge that every decision has life-or-death consequences.”’Border 2′ also stars Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, along with Sunny Deol.
