A senior palliative care nurse at a busy hospice has told how she pleaded with a manager for high-grade medical masks before testing positive for Covid during the pandemic.
The nurse, who is a member of the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, was not vaccinated when she contracted the virus. She is now on sick leave with long-Covid.
