A man in his 20’s has been arrested by Gardai investigating complaints regarding alleged dangerous driving incidents on the N4 in parts of Sligo and Roscommon.
Gardai says they have increased patrols in the area to disrupt and deter any instances of careless or dangerous driving.
As a direct result of such patrols, a vehicle was stopped at Corrigeenroe, on Tuesday last and a quantity of controlled drugs seized.
A man in his 20s was arrested.
In a statement to Ocean FM Gardai says Patrols will continue, in conjunction with Roads Policing Units in the area, to deter and detect any breaches of road traffic legislation.
If any member of the public witnesses any incident of dangerous driving, they are encouraged to contact An Garda Síochána and to provide details and/or dash-cam footage, if available.
