It was November 2, 1992 when a young clerk was shot at the counter during a bank raid in New Ross, Wexford; a shocking and devastating incident which lives forever in the memories of Carol Walsh’s family, friends, colleagues and customers, as she tragically died from her fatal injuries three days later.
However, a trust which was established in Carol’s honour has provided a range of opportunities for various groups in the community over the years and the remainder of funds have recently been distributed bringing the trust worth almost €100,000 as it closes.
