Carrickedmond club player Michelle, a stylish defender, starred with Longford, winning a Leinster Intemediate Championship medal and National League Division 4 medal in 2012.
Longford went on to complete a hat-trick of Leinster Intermediate titles by triumphing in 2013 and 2014, with Michelle featuring very prominently. Longford won the All-Ireland Ladies Junior Championship in 2016 defeating Antrim in the final at Croke Park and Michelle was sprung from the bench on that occasion. In 2017 Michelle and Longford won the National League Division 4 title.
Extending congratulations to Michelle and Conor, Carrickedmond Ladies Club posted, “Huge congratulations to Michelle and Conor on their wedding.Â
“Michelle has proudly played with Carrickedmond Ladies all her life and continues her football journey in New York.
“We at Carrickedmond Ladies wish you both a lifetime filled with happiness, health, and love. Best wishes from all at the club!”
Conor’s Dunderry GAA Club team mates created an archway of hurlers as he and his bride made their way out of St Patrick’s Church following their wedding ceremony.
Dunderry GAA posted on their social media: “Conor O’Shea has proudly worn the Dunderry colours all his life, and now continues his GAA journey in New York.
“From everyone in Dunderry GAA, we wish Conor & Michelle a lifetime of love, happiness and cherished memories together.”
A dual player, Conor was part of the New York squad that defeated Cavan in the 2025 Lory Meagher Cup Final at Croke Park. Conor’s club in New York is Westmeath and he is the holder of an All-Ireland Minor ‘B’ hurling medal from 2011 and he also won two Meath intermediate hurling championship titles with Dunderry in 2014 and 2022.Â
