It has been confirmed that Donegal and Derry’s cancelled McKenna Cup fixture will not be rescheduled.

The game was called off due to poor road conditions across Donegal making it unsafe for attendees to travel to the O’Donnell Park.

Ulster GAA have now confirmed that the game cannot be rescheduled and has been cancelled, as there is no improvement expected to the weather over the next 24 hours.

“Following the postponement of today’s Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna Cup game between Donegal and Derry, due to no forecast improvement over the next 24 hours it is not practical to refix the game,” Ulster GAA announced.

“Therefore both counties will be awarded a point each in the Section C league table.”

“Tickets and stream purchases of the postponed fixture will be refunded.”
