O’Connell Street southbound has reopened after “a serious traffic incident” earlier today.
The street had been closed from Cathal Brugha Street to O’Connell Bridge due to the crash.
Gardaí attended the scene after the crash, which occurred around 12:15pm in the city centre.
“O’Connell Street Southbound is currently closed from Cathal Brugha Street to O’Connell Bridge. Delays are expected if travelling in the area,” a spokesperson had said.

Onlookers from the street shared images where they said it looked like an incident had occurred involving a bus.
The southbound side of the street and the pedestrian island were all closed off by the Spire and a bus was wrapped in garda tape with one person being lifted into an ambulance.
