Vogue Williams has opened up about feeling “felt embarrassed” following her split from Westlife’s Brian McFadden. The Irish podcasting sensation tied the knot with the pop star in 2012, but their marriage ended after just three years.

Their divorce was made official in 2017, with Vogue, now 40, previously revealing she battled with anxiety in the aftermath of their separation. The telly personality admits she’d always envisioned herself “married with kids” before hitting the big 3-0.

Speaking candidly about the breakdown of her marriage on her YouTube series Vogue Williams – What Does She Even Do?, the mum-of-three shared: “I had it in my mind that I would be married with kids when I was 30.”

She went on: “I felt really embarrassed at the start, of the whole failure of getting divorced, but you have to say yes to things and when you feel really down, or sad, break-ups are the hardest thing in the world, I think.

“They’re almost like a death, you’re so engulfed in them, but if you force yourself to go out then it does get easier.”

Following the finalisation of her divorce from Brian, Vogue crossed paths with ex-Made in Chelsea heartthrob Spencer Matthews whilst filming The Jump. The chemistry between them was undeniable, and although Vogue admits they “tried” to resist their connection, they ultimately couldn’t stay apart.

She revealed: “Spenny and I tried not to be with each other, we tried. I’d just come out of a long term relationship and I had been dating around for the first time in my life, it was the first time I’d felt comfortably single in my life and I was like, ‘I really want to keep doing this, I’m enjoying myself’.

“So I didn’t want to be with anybody but we kept falling back into each other. As much as we tried not to be together, we kept coming back together, so that’s how I knew [he was the one] in the end.”

Vogue revealed that mates had urged her to give Spencer a chance, but she maintained they’d just be friends, describing him as “a good craic”. In January 2018, several months after they started seeing each other, Spencer got down on one knee during an outing to The Lion King at London’s West End.

The couple exchanged vows five months later at Spencer’s ancestral home, Glen Affric, nestled in the Scottish Highlands. This was followed by a second celebration, which was captured for Channel 4’s Spencer, Vogue and Wedding Two.

The pair are now parents to Theodore, Gigi, and Otto. Vogue has previously disclosed plans for a third wedding ceremony with Spencer to commemorate their decade together in 2028.

Chatting to her mate Joanne McNally on their My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast last year, Vogue shared: “I have bad news. Spen and I, when we’re 10 years married, in three years time, we are going to do a wedding. I know that we got married, but when we got married in Scotland and that wasn’t meant to be our wedding, there were like 20 people there.

“Then we did the TV wedding, which wasn’t a real wedding, because it just wasn’t a real wedding, it was for TV. We actually want to do a wedding in three years’ time when we’re married for 10 years. No one will bloody believe it, imagine being married to someone for 10 years.”
