Ireland’s Aoife Wafer appears to be bitten by her French opponent in the World Cup quarter-final
France will be without their captain Manae Feleu and flanker Axelle Berthoumieu for the remainder of the World Cup after both players were banned for acts of foul play during their controversial 18-13 win over Ireland on Saturday.
Berthomieu has been suspended for 12 matches, reduced from 18, after she was found to have bitten Ireland back-row Aoife Wafer early in the second half at Sandy Park.
