The publican who ran one of Kerry’s most enduring family establishments is enjoying retirement after pulling his last pints on Sunday.

Michael Larkin-McCarthy (70) was born and raised in Larkin’s Bar in Milltown. The pub was established by his forebears in the 1860s and he took over the business with his late wife Breda, who died in 2018, nearly four decades ago.
