Dingle captain Paul Geaney has confirmed that he should be fit to line out in his side’s historic All-Ireland Club Senior Football Championship final against St Brigid’s on Sunday week as he continues to recover from a niggling calf injury.

The long-serving stalwart aggravated the issue – that first surfaced during Kerry’s path to All-Ireland glory last summer – in the Munster Club Championship final win against St Finbarr’s in early December. He wasn’t deemed fit enough to start against Ballyboden St Enda’s last Saturday in the All-Ireland semi-final, but he came on played 50 minutes in the extra-time epic and put in a heroic performance.
