The DAA justified its suspension of chief executive Kenny Jacobs by claiming there was a risk he would interfere with witnesses during a new investigation into his conduct, legal filings reveal.

Mr Jacobs (52) was suspended on December 15 after being presented with a list of 20 complaints by the board of DAA plc, which owns and operates Dublin and Cork airports.
