A star-studded crime thriller is heading your way soon.

The latest action-packed trailer for the Bart Layton-directed Crime 101 dropped on Saturday (Jan. 10), featuring the likes of Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, Halle Berry, Corey Hawkins, and Nick Nolte. The film is an adaptation of novelist Don Winslow‘s 2021 novella of the same title.

Hemsworth leads the upcoming film set in LA, “an elusive jewel thief whose string of heists along the 101 freeway have mystified police,” according to the Crime 101 synopsis.

“When he eyes the score of a lifetime, his path crosses that of a disillusioned insurance broker (Berry) who is facing her own crossroads,” the synopsis continues. “Convinced he has found a pattern, a relentless detective (Ruffalo) is closing in, raising the stakes even higher. As the heist approaches, the line between hunter and hunted begins to blur, and all three are faced with life-defining choices–and the realization that there can be no turning back. “

In the new trailer, the detective (Ruffalo) explains the thief’s (Hemsworth) tactics, saying he “hits jewels, cash, and high value items.”

“He knows exactly what they transport and when,” he adds. “There’s no DNA, he’s in and out in seconds.”

When does Crime 101 hit theaters?

You can catch Crime 101 in theaters and in IMAX starting Friday, Feb. 13.

When will Crime 101 be streaming?

A streaming release date has yet to be announced for Crime 101. The film is distributed by Amazon MGM Studios, meaning that Crime 101 could end up on Prime Video and/or MGM+. As for when Crime 101 will begin streaming, the film will first become available to buy or rent on VOD platforms. For reference, 2024’s Challengers, which was also distributed by Amazon MGM Studios, hit digital after a month in theaters, but arrived on Prime Video five months after its theatrical release, as noted by DECIDER’s Anna Menta. Thus, the streaming release may differ by title.
