The man charged with the murder of businessman Stephen McCahill is to appear at Letterkenny District Court again today.
Michael Maloney, 32, appeared before a special sitting of Letterkenny District Court on Thursday night last.
He was charged with murdering the 66-year-old publican and auctioneer at his home at Breagh, Ardara on Monday last, January 5th.
He will appear again by videolink from Castlerea Prison later today.
Hundreds of people attended Mr McCahill’s funeral mass in Ardara on Saturday last.
Parish priest of Ardara, Fr Aodhan Cannon told mourners that a light had gone out in the local community with the tragic passing of community activist and former Donegal Person of the year, Mr McCahill.
