Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence Niamh Smyth has said that social media platform X should be banned in Ireland if it fails to comply with online safety laws.

Pressure is mounting on the Coalition to take tougher action over the Grok AI tool, amid widespread concern about its use to manipulate images of women and children by digitally removing their clothing.
