There is renewed hope that one of Wicklow’s best-known hotels could get a new lease on life after the Lawless Hotel in Aughrim went sale agreed, with the prospective new owners signalling their intention to retain its former use and reopen as a hotel, bar and restaurant.
Dating back to 1787, the iconic establishment served as a popular venue and coach stop and was regarded as one of the Garden County’s most beloved hotels, before closing during the pandemic, falling into disrepair, and never reopening.
