Emmerdale actress Sammy Winward’s daughter Mia has announced she’s pregnant with her first child, but hasn’t told the soap star about it as they fell out in 2024

The daughter of Emmerdale star Sammy Winward has unveiled her baby bump.
Mia, 20, said in 2024 that she was cut off by soap star Sammy after she started selling snaps on Only Fans. The model has been estranged from Sammy and her dad, ex footballer David Dunn, ever since.
She announced on Wednesday (January 14) that she is pregnant with her first child, but hasn’t told her parents about the baby. It’s because she hasn’t spoken to either of her parents in two years following their feud over her decision to join the adult platform.
Mia showed off her baby bump for the first time as she stepped out in Manchester City Centre. She was wearing a brown unitard and looked in high spirits as she cradled her bump and smiled for the cameras.

The model, who has quit Only Fans after finding out she’s expecting, was glowing with a full face of makeup. She wrapped up warm with a beige fur coat for her outing.
She’s admitted her baby news feels “bittersweet” due to the family rift. She told The Sun: “I haven’t reached out to them yet and they don’t really know how to contact me. I am emotionally vulnerable while I’m pregnant and I really don’t want a big, stressful situation.”

She added: “Now that I have my own baby inside me, I just couldn’t imagine not speaking to my child.”
Mia said she is keen to rebuild the relationship with her parents but admits “we’ve got a lot to work on”. She said there’s “a lot to forgive and that process hasn’t even started yet.”

But the model said that shopping for baby clothes with her actress mum “would be a lovely thing to do”. She believes that Sammy would be “an amazing grandma” and admits she wants them to be in her life as well as her child’s.
Mia now lives a very different life in the Lake District with her partner, the father of her unborn child. She has been with him for one year but has decided not to reveal his name.

In August 2024, Mia said that it had been months since she had spoken to Sammy, who played Katie Sugden in the ITV soap from 2001 until 2015. She told The Sun at the time: “She said some pretty mean things when we did last speak, it was awful. But I absolutely love my mum, I love all of my family but none of them speak to me now.”
Mia alleged that her family had sent her “abuse” over the phone, adding: “I feel like at this point it is going to have to be them coming to me because I’ve tried to maintain contact in the past and they just don’t have any of it and then I end up getting like, all the abuse like through the phone, through text messages, calls.”
