The Apprentice will have a brand new host for its spin-off show as Tom Allen announces he’s stepping down from presenting duties.
With the business reality TV series returning at the end of January, the BBC will be launching a new spin-off with presenter Angela Scanlon, who replaces Allen at the helm of the post-firing show.
Titled The Apprentice: Unfinished Business, the upcoming programme — a new version of previous spin-off The Apprentice: You’re Fired — will dive into the boardroom drama after the main show.
“Angela Scanlon has packed her briefcase and is ready for business – this time, to present The Apprentice: Unfinished Business!” the BBC shared on Instagram.
“Alongside featuring industry experts and celebrity fans, The Apprentice: Unfinished Business will also see the first interviews with fired candidates each week, with Angela and the panel dissecting all the drama and behind-the-scenes intel.”

Meanwhile, Allen took to Instagram to explain his decision to “say goodbye” to The Apprentice.
“I have decided, after six years, to say goodbye to The Apprentice: You’re Fired,” he wrote.
“I have had so much fun working with the most incredible creative people to make it all happen. (I was also getting concerned Lord Sugar might realise I know nothing about business – as above video demonstrates).
“Exciting things are coming up for the show, and as for me, I shall be embarking on new voyages very soon…”

The Apprentice star Tim Campbell commented on Allen’s post, writing: “Tom, it has been a real pleasure working with you. You brought warmth, wit and wicked whistles to the show and you will be genuinely missed 🙏🏿 Wishing you every success on the next journey destination!”
As Allen has remained tightlipped on his next endeavours, Zoe Ball has shared her hope to see him on Strictly Come Dancing one day.
“Tom for Strictly,” the radio host wrote as Allen deflected, replying: “Too Kind”.
Series 20 of The Apprentice starts airing on BBC One on 29 January. Spin-off The Apprentice: Unfinished Business airs on BBC Two after the main show.
