Gardaí have appealed for witnesses after a man was injured when a glass “implement” was thrown at him in Dublin yesterday.

The man, aged in his 50s, was brought to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of his injuries following the incident on the Oscar Traynor Road shortly after 6.30pm.

“A male, aged in his 50s, was struck by a glass implement that was thrown at him,” a Garda spokesperson said. “The male was conveyed to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Gardaí are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.

“Any persons who were in the vicinity of the Beechlawn and Bunratty areas on the Oscar Traynor Road between 6.20pm and 7pm on Thursday, January 15.

“Anyone who may have video footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
