Three people have been brought to hospital from Trinity College Dublin after a chemical spill at its Biomedical Sciences Institute.

The university says Dublin Fire Brigade and gardaí attended the scene at Dublin’s Pearse Street after the spillage occurred at 11am this morning.

Emergency services have since left and Trinity says the situation is “under control”, with the building now closed for environmental cleaning.

The three individuals were transferred to St James’s Hospital.

The university said it has no further update at this stage.
