It may be one of the hottest properties on TV right now, but The Traitors is getting the big screen treatment later this week. With the nation preparing for the final week of the BBC series’ fourth season, there is a chance for the ultimate theatrical experience.
That’s because the season finale, which is due to air on Friday (23 January) at 8.30pm on BBC One, will also be playing in selected cinemas across the country. So, if you’re lucky enough to be near a chosen venue, you could have a grand evening!
For those living in or around London, there are a few locations on the list, with Finsbury Park’s Picturehouse, Clapham Grand, Exhibit Balham and Genesis Cinema in Bethnal Green all showing the finale.
For those who live further North, the Mockingbird Cinema in Birmingham and Sheffield’s Showroom will be screening the episode. The Light chain is showing the instalment in several of its venues, while Manchester’s Cultplex is running a live event for the final week.
Though the finale is starting 30 minutes later than the usual slot of 8pm, it’s not all bad news for fans, with the episode being extended to 75 minutes. If that wasn’t enough, there’s also a bumper instalment of spin-off series Uncloaked straight afterwards.

Of course, we still have two episodes – airing on Wednesday and Thursday – to go before we get to the finale, with the remaining six Faithfuls hoping to pinpoint Rachel and Stephen as Traitors as they near the finish line.
With anticipation now at an all-time high, Digital Spy spoke exclusively with several former contestants about the very nature of the game, with some sharing that it could prove beneficial to lie about one’s job or background.
“It can be good to keep it a secret so people don’t find out too much about how your brain works.,” said Harry Clark, who walked away with over £95k in the second season after getting the better of all of his co-stars.

“It all depends on how well you tell the story. For instance, don’t say a different job to skills you don’t have as you’ll easily be caught out! You need as many advantages as possible so you don’t get caught out.”
“Keeping secrets is a good thing to keep you grounded in the secrecy of the game,” added Charlotte Berman, who reached the final in the third season after pretending to be Welsh. “In the castle everyone’s looking for something to suspect.”
The Traitors airs on BBC One and streams on BBC iPlayer.
