The family of missing Galway teen Rihanna McDonagh have given an update as the search for the 14-year-old continues in the county.
Rihanna McDonagh’s family are understandably worried sick and have made a heartfelt request.
Rihanna McDonagh’s aunt, Kate, has pleaded with her niece to go home to her family, who are worried sick. Kate added: “Please get in contact with your mother or any member of your family.”
Rihanna McDonagh is just 14 years of age and was last seen in Westside in Galway city on Monday evening, 19 January 2026, at around 7:55pm.
Her family previously contacted Galway Beo and expressed their worries over missing Rihanna.
Rihanna is described as wearing a black Zavetti Canada jacket and blue pants when last seen. Her family have explained that Rihanna is hard of hearing and uses a type of hearing aid known as a cochlear implant.
Locals have sent their best wishes to the family in the hope that she returns home safe and sound.
One said: “Please God, she will be home soon prayers for Rihanna’s safe return.”
Another local added: “I have a daughter her age, can’t imagine what her family are going through. Please god get her home safe and sound.”
A third local said: “Please God return Rihanna to her family and loved ones safe and sound, and grant them some form of comfort during this impossible time period.”
