The FAI’s financial outlook for 2026 will be determined by whether Heimir Hallgrimsson and Co can deliver the windfall of a World Cup summer.
But whatever happens in March, this is a year that could leave a legacy in other ways as slow but steady steps are taken towards the creation of an industry of sorts on this island.
