Thousands of nominations were submitted by fitness fans across Bolton, putting forward their favourite gyms in a bid to see them crowned the best in Bolton.

The shortlist features a mix of independent gyms, specialist fitness centres and modern facilities.

Among those shortlisted is Insync PT, a personal training gym based at Park Fold Farm in Bradshaw.

Set along a country lane with a picturesque backdrop near Jumbles Reservoir, Insync PT offers an alternative to mainstream health clubs, focusing on personalised training in a supportive environment.

A spokesperson for Insync PT said: “We set up Insync PT to offer an alternative to the mainstream health clubs, a place where you can face any fears you may have towards exercise.

“We want people to enjoy exercise and feel the huge benefits of working out with like-minded people.

“We also want members to feel part of something exciting and different, and to feel involved with our evolution.”

According to Insync, the coaching team includes founder Frank Carwardine-Wheeler, Jane Carwardine-Wheeler, Ben Cromey, Claire Jones, Helen Belle and Shaun Chadwick.

The gym offers personalised programmes suitable for all levels of fitness, with training available on a one-to-one basis, in pairs or in small groups.

All personal training begins with a free comprehensive consultation, followed by a tailored nutrition and training plan agreed over a set timeframe.

The team say they are “always experimenting” with innovative and creative ways of exercising, using the latest equipment and techniques.

Areas of expertise include nutrition and weight loss management, fat loss and muscle building, rehabilitation and recovery, posture and biomechanics, pre and post-natal support, sports-specific training and specialist fitness goals.

Insync PT is located at Park Fold Farm, Bradshaw.

Voting slips for the competition are available in paper copies of The Bolton News, to be counted over the following weeks, with the winner set to be announced soon after.
