A man accused of walking into a midlands pub armed with a chainsaw had to be restrained by staff after vowing to “decapitate” the bar manager, a court has heard.
Darren Murray (45) of Coolevin Park, Coosan, Athlone, Westmeath was denied bail at a sitting of Athlone District Court more than seven weeks after first going into custody following the alleged incident at Peddler Mac’s, Church Street, Athlone, Westmeath on November 30, 2025.
