A killer could be exposed on Coronation Street next week, and fans think they know who will uncover the truth.
In a new preview for next week, Theo Silverton is overheard confessing to leaving Billy Mayhew to die. Theo pretended he tried to save Billy after the Corriedale crash, which saw the minibus the tragic vicar was driving explode.
Theo had deliberately re-fastened Billy’s seatbelt so that he couldn’t escape the burning vehicle. Next week ahead of Billy’s funeral, the character visits Billy’s coffin at the undertakers.
As he continues to struggle with the guilt of his killer crime, he begs Billy’s dead body for forgiveness. He tells him he’s sorry for leaving him, and admits it was because he wanted to prevent the end of his relationship with partner Todd Grimshsaw, amid a harrowing domestic abuse storyline.

As Theo sobs, suddenly the door of the undertakers is heard slamming shut. Theo fears he’s been caught out, and he shouts out owner George Shuttleworth’s name, before fleeing to the front of the building.
As he frantically searches around to see who fled the scene, there is no one there and the clip ends. Theo will grow paranoid in the fallout that his dark secret may be exposed.
In the scene, as shown in the clip, Theo tells his murder victim: “Please believe me when I say I’m sorry Billy. If I’d had time to think, if I got myself calm, I’d have got you out.
“You know I would. It was a moment of madness leaving you there, and I don’t think I’ll ever forgive myself. I’m so sorry, but I’m not an evil man, I’m not. I’m not a killer.”

He went on to state that he was trying to stop anyone coming between him and Todd, before adding: “I just hope you are at peace. I hope you can understand.”
So someone has heard he left Billy to die and that it was intentional. Fans think they know who it is, with many tipping Christina Boyd, George’s partner, to be the one who finds out.
One viewer posted: “Speculation: I want Christina to be the person who overhears Theo’s confession.” Another agreed: “YES. She seemed to clock him early on, and I’d love for that instinct to be revisited.”
A third fan added: “I think Christina will hear Theo,” as another said: “I’m hoping for Christina.” Another theory was that George could be the one who heard him, while Todd and Summer Spellman were also predicted.

One viewer said: “I think Summer will hear his confession then he will kill her too.” A fan then wrote: “My money’s on Todd,” as another posted: “I think it’ll be Todd.”
A further theory read: “I think it could be George and I don’t think Todd would reveal it to anyone if it was him. Then again Theo could just pretend it was his guilt talking or that his confession was taken out of context.”
