FUNERAL arrangements have been announced for a devoted Limerick husband, son and brother who was killed in a tragic farm accident on Saturday.

TJ Sweeney, aged in his 30s, of Coon Bridge, Milford, County Cork and formerly of Broadford, County Limerick, will repose at Sextons Funeral Home, Broadford on Wednesday from 6pm.

Removal at 8pm to the Church of Our Lady of the Snows, Broadford. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12.30pm. Cremation will take place at Shannon Crematorium at 4pm.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to a fatal workplace accident at a premises near Dromcollogher on Saturday afternoon. It is understood Mr Sweeney was killed in an accident involving machinery.

Cllr Michael Collins said he was very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr Sweeney in a workplace accident. 

“It’s such a tragic loss at such a young age. Sincere condolences to his family and friends,” said Cllr Collins.

Mr Sweeney is sadly missed by his loving wife Tara, parents Pat and Eileen, mother-in-law Bridget, brothers Aiden, Padraig, Darren and Shane, sisters-in-law Denise, Mary, Anita, Lynda and Saundra, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives, neighbours and friends.

A traffic management system is expected to be in operation in Broadford on Wednesday evening, according to the death notice on rip.ie
