After nearly seven years of ownership, Maria Bello has decided to part ways with her Los Angeles home in the Laurel Canyon enclave of Hollywood Hills.

The veteran TV and film actress—probably best known for her turns in A History of Violence, The Cooler, Coyote Ugly, ER, NCIS, Beef, and The Waterfront—has stuck a nearly $4 million price tag on the revamped digs, which were previously offered as a rental for as much as $18,500 per month. Juliette Hohnen of Douglas Elliman holds the listing.

Bello purchased the property in October 2019 for nearly $2.7 million, shortly before she announced her engagement to her soon-to-be ex-wife, Michelin star chef Dominique Crenn. Built in the late 1960s, the ranch-style house offers three bedrooms and an equal number of baths in roughly 2,500 square feet of recently refreshed living space overlooking sweeping canyon, hillside, and city lights views from a gated parcel spanning just over a third of an acre.

Upon entry, a sprawling fireside living room flows to a bar-equipped den with steel-framed French doors leading outside. An adjacent dining area with built-in bench seating and a fireplace connects to the kitchen, which sports an eat-in island that seats six, open wood shelving set against a white ceramic-tiled backsplash, and Viking and Sub-Zero appliances. Accordion doors spill out to the backyard, which holds a flagstone-encased pool with a spillover spa, plus an alfresco dining space with a barbecue and a fire pit.

A windowed hallway leads to the inviting primary suite, which comes with a private terrace, a walk-in closet, and glass-paneled barn doors sliding open to a bath featuring dual vanities, a pedestal soaking tub, and an oversized rainfall shower. Two additional guest bedrooms include one with its own bath and another with access to a nearby powder room with a shower, with both leading out to a side yard hosting a bocce court. The property also has a standalone salon/library, as well as an attached two-car garage.

Bello, who also works as a writer and producer, maintains other properties in France and the New Jersey barrier island community of Sea Isle City.
