A week into the new season, and already, troubling issues have arisen around time and motion. They should be easily dealt with, but in the confusing world of GAA rules, they have been allowed to become a problem in football.
As luck would have it, both emerged in the same game (Kerry v Roscommon) last Sunday, leading to justifiable concerns that two flawed rules are in place. The first features the decision to end halves once the hooter sounds.
