Admittedly, I never got into this. Season 1 tried too hard for me to give Season 2 a whirl, and now Season 3 is upon us. Still boasting a sterling cast, including Harrison Ford, Jason Segel and Jessica Williams, fans will also see cameos from Jeff Daniels and Michael J Fox. The latter might actually tempt me back, as Fox reportedly shares poignant scenes with Ford.

Full disclosure: this week’s streaming pick was a toss-up between this three-part documentary and Bridgerton Season 4. I’ll be honest, I’d rather endure the awkwardness of teen Take That being slathered in jelly for the Do What You Like video than sit through another scene of someone sneaking off to take an illicit lover against a tree. And if you think you’ve seen it all already courtesy of Netflix’s 2023 Robbie Williams doc, this is different – it’s told from Gary, Howard and Mark’s perspective. Robbie doesn’t add new material here, and Jason seems absent too, but what you do get is 35 years of rare, unseen footage, personal material, and fresh interviews (again, from Gary, Howard and Mark) about their time dominating the early 1990s, selling out arenas, scoring a dozen UK number one singles, and shifting over 45 million records globally. It’s being billed as “the deeply personal and definitive story of Take That”, though whether it truly can be is another story.

With the Winter Olympics right around the corner (February 6, mark it in the diary), we’re being treated to a competitive love quadrangle set in the world of skating. Essentially Dawson’s Creek on ice, it’s arguably riddled with schmaltz, but might make you want to watch Blades of Glory.
