Infestuous took more than a decade to come together, and now the wait is finally over.

Hailing from the American Rust Belt, Infestuous is the long-gestating collaboration between Matt Tluchowski (Doctor Smoke) and Alan Cassidy (The Black Dahlia Murder), a project that began quietly back in 2009. Initial tracking took place in 2012, but the recordings were shelved, left dormant as life, bands, and other commitments took priority. It wasn’t until 2020 through 2024 that the material was revisited.

The result is Unfathomable Mutagenic Abominations, a groove-heavy, technical-leaning slab of brutal death metal that finally sees the light of day on April 17, 2026 via Silent Pendulum Records.

To mark the announcement, Infestuous have unveiled the album’s first single, “Palace of Rot”, a punishing introduction to the band’s pretty grotesque sound. Across Unfathomable Mutagenic Abominations, Tluchowski and Cassidy split vocal duties while locking into a dense, muscular songwriting style that bridges classic brutal death metal with a more modern, groove-driven sensibility. Adding another layer of extremity are guitar solos from Steve Lehocky (ex-Doctor Smoke, ex-Necrophagia).
