Further flooding fears in Carlow and Kilkenny as rainfall continues

Cleanups continue across Carlow and Kilkenny as both counties remain under the latest status yellow rainfall warning.

However just before lunchtime today another was announced for 9am to midnight tomorrow (Friday, 30th Jan).

In Carlow the focus is on the River Barrow which is expected to rise later.

Council crews were out overnight and again this morning along the River Burren.
