The award-winning broadcaster, DJ and Tik Tok star Dave Duke has hailed this year’s National Ploughing Championships in Offaly as ‘unbelievable’ and the heartbeat of agriculture and rural Ireland.

The iRadio presenter, who hails from County Leitrim, is one of the tens of thousands of people who have travelled to Screggan in Tullamore for day 2 of this year’s event.

Nealy 80,000 attended the first day of the event on Tuesday with similar numbers attending again this Wednesday.

Speaking to our reporter, Aisling Magner, Dave Duke revealed it’s his first time attending the Ploughing since he was just 12 years of age.

“My God, it’s unbelievable! How many thousands of people are here?” he exclaimed adding that those who has observed so far are “interested in Machinery, cattle, jerseys free stuff!”
