The stars are out as Hollywood royalty has come to Dublin to film a new movie.
Brad Pitt landed in the capital last night and is set to move into one of our most scenic towns for a couple of weeks. He’s here to film The Riders, with scenes also set for Wicklow, Cork and Kerry.
Just like one of his tinseltown pals Matt Damon, it looks like he’s setting up his home in Dalkey. Although the weather hasn’t been great he’s sure to get some stunning views of the Irish Sea while he’s here.
Filming locations in the Wicklow Mountains are understood to include Lough Tay, which is also often used for filming The Vikings. But the set is sure to be locked down to the public.

Those hoping to get a peek of the actor will only have about two weeks to catch him out and about in Dublin. Then he’ll be jetting off to other parts of Europe for further filming, including Greece.
He’s playing Fred Scully in the new flick, which will also star Julianne Nicholson and Coco Greenstone. It’s being directed by Edward Berger.
Brad Pitt is no stranger to Dublin, having visited the capital regularly in the past for music gigs. He attended Bruce Springteen’s most recent Croke Park show, and famously signed autographs outside The Point in 1996 with Bryan Adams.
