Celtic have opened talks with Noah FC over a potential move for striker Nardin Mulahusejnović, as the Hoops continue their search for attacking reinforcements before the January transfer window closes on Monday night.

The Croatian forward, who has scored nine goals and contributed two assists so far this season, has attracted attention from multiple clubs. In addition to Celtic’s approach, another Scottish side is said to be interested and “assessing its options”. At this stage it isn’t clear which club that is. Rangers remain active in the striker market in these final days of the window and Hibernian, who now have funds to spend after selling Kieron Bowie for around £6 million.

Rapid Wien also made efforts to bring Mulahusejnović in on a six‑month loan with a €1.5 million option to buy, but the player rejected that proposal. He, reportedly, wasn’t interested in a loan move, preferring a permanent switch or a more decisive path forward for his career.
The club have already brought in Tomas Cvancara on loan with an option to buy, and the Czech striker could be in line for only his second appearance this Sunday. With Kelechi Iheanacho back fit and available, coming on as a substitute in Thursday’s Europa League win, there are more options for Martin O’Neill.
Mulahusejnović’s numbers this season include four goals in the domestic league and five in the Conference League, where he also provided two assists. That blend of physical presence, aerial ability and goal threat has made him an attractive option for Martin O’Neill.
Celtic remain in the market for a striker and are understood to be exploring multiple avenues, but with just days to go and several rival clubs circling, any deal will have to move quickly.
