This February, the Enable Ireland shop in Castlebar is taking a twist on the Valentine’s theme.
From Valentine’s Day (14th February) to Saturday 21st February, Enable Ireland shops are aiming to create Ireland’s biggest breakup. They are encouraging the public to declutter their homes and ‘break up with their stuff’. All high-quality items donated will support Enable Ireland, which provides services to children and adults with disabilities.
It’s hoped that hundreds of Castlebar locals will finally break up with pre-loved items that they’ve been holding on to but no longer use.
Enable Ireland will help these quality items find love again when sold. 100% of profits from items donated to Enable Ireland support disability services which include vital therapy and support services.
To soften the break-up blow, Enable Ireland Shops are also offering an extra incentive. If a donor comes into the shop with a donation and tell staff they want to break up with their stuff. In return, they’ll receive €5.00 off when they spend over €25 in store.
Mary Hynes is Regional Manager of Enable Ireland and she’s been telling Midwest News Editor Teresa O’Malley more about this iniative…
