After almost two decades years of knowing each other and seven years of marriage, Made in Chelsea’s Millie Mackintosh and Hugo Taylor have reportedly split. The reality pair first met as teenagers on the hit E4 show back in 2010, known amongst MIC fans for their rocky relationship.
Reports have claimed that Hugo, 39, and Millie, 36, have made the decision to separate and are now focusing on co-parenting their two daughters together. While the news came as a shock to many, some social media users began piecing together what they believed were quiet signs that the couple had parted ways.
In January, Millie revealed on her Instagram that she had checked into an Ayurvedic retreat in India. Sharing with fans how the trip ‘broke’ her open, she wrote on Instagram, ‘I came here for a reset. IÂ didn’t realise how much I needed to feel.’
In another post, Millie – who didn’t appear to wear her wedding ring while on the trip – spoke about how she’d been feeling stressed. ‘I didn’t realise how much my nervous system had been carrying until I finally stopped,’ she explained.
Hugo, meanwhile, was reportedly away on a skiing trip.
So, why have Millie Mackintosh and Hugo Taylor split? From their meeting on Made In Chelsea to their family life, here’s everything you need to know.
Why did Millie Mackintosh and Hugo Taylor split?
In February 2026, reports surfaced that Millie and Hugo had decided to end their seven-year marriage after mutually coming to the realisation that it was ‘better’ for their family.
A source told The Daily Mail, ‘Millie and Hugo are currently going through a separation and have sadly decided to split.
‘They have known each other for many years, and in recent weeks, have had serious conversations about their future, ultimately deciding it’s better for them both to part ways.’
The former reality stars are now focused on co-parenting their two young daughters, with the source saying, ‘Their main priority remains their children and family life, and separating is not something they ever hoped would happen.’
They added that the couple were ‘considering what living apart might look like and how they plan to navigate co-parenting their young children.’

It comes after fans had noticed the couple hadn’t featured on each other’s Instagrams quite as often in recent months. While Millie regularly posts snippets of her family life and wellness journey, Hugo has been MIA from her grid over recent weeks. The last time he appeared was during the holidays, when Millie shared a collection of photographs from the family’s Christmas together. Likewise, Millie last appeared on Hugo’s feed in his Christmas roundup.

When did Millie Mackintosh and Hugo Taylor marry? Their relationship timeline explained
Hugo and Millie first met as teenagers back in 2010 on E4’s Made In Chelsea, with their up and down romance was well documented on the reality show.
Six months into dating, Hugo was accused of cheating on Millie with their mutual friend and co-star Rosie Fortescue. Rosie insisted in 2024 that there was no truth to the rumours, saying, ‘It never happened. I’m sick of it. I’m bored of it. And I’m over it.’
Meanwhile, Millie was called out for being unfaithful while on a trip to Ibiza. It was something she neither confirmed not denied when asked.
It proved too much for the young couple, who split for the first time in 2011.

Not long after their breakup, wellness influencer Millie began dating British rapper Professor Green (whose real name is Stephen Manderson.) In March 2013, the couple tied the knot during a lavish ceremony in Somerset’s Babington House.
Ultimately, it wasn’t meant to be. Millie and Stephen parted ways in 2016, after less than three years of marriage. Speaking on Jamie Laing’s Great Company Podcast last year, the rapper said of his ex-wife, ‘She’s beautiful. There’s no resentment in me. We were not good for each other at that time. We didn’t get married for the wrong reasons. We loved each other. It was intoxicating.’
While Hugo had moved on with Made In Chelsea co-star Natalie Joel, their relationship ended around the same time as Millie’s marriage – giving ample opportunity for the former lovebirds to reunite.
