Sammy the Seal’s takeaway.
Sammy the Seal’s takeaway are offering a heartfelt thank you to all of their customers as they prepare for the final day of trading this coming Sunday.
Operated by The Fish man Alan Hegarty and his team, the Sammy the Seal takeaway van is based on the South Quay in Wicklow town, and began trading on St Patrick’s Day of last year.
While the takeaway will be closing its doors on Sunday, it isn’t a final farewell, as they hope to make a return next year.
On Facebook, they posted: “We want to let all of our wonderful customers know that our last day of trading this year will be Sunday, September 21.
“We’d like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported us from our regulars to those who popped by for the first time. Your kindness, loyalty, and encouragement have meant the world to us. It’s with real regret that we’re closing our doors for now, but this isn’t goodbye forever. Our hope is to be back next year, refreshed and ready to serve you all again. Until then, we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible before our final day and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support and custom.”
Sammy the Seal’s Takeaway will operate from South Quay on Friday, September 19, from 5pm to 9pm and on Saturday September 20, from 4pm to 9pm.
Their final day of business takes place on Sunday, September 21, from 2pm to 7pm.
