They may not be as high profile as the National Lottery – but the Prize Bonds, a handy way to save as well as a chance to win big jackpots – have always been popular with clued-in players.
And this morning brought another big win to Leeside, with the weekly €50,000 top jackpot going to somebody holding one of the bonds here. The code-number AXG065352 is held in County Cork. The bond was purchased in 2021 so if you know somebody whos holding bonds in Cork that were relatively recently bought, tell them to check.
There were also over 8,753 prizes awarded in this week’s Prize Bond Draw, amounting to more than €733,400. Regular players will now that there is a top prize of €500,000 prize awarded on the last weekly draw of every month along with th eweekly draws where the top prize is €50,000. Other cash prizes awarded each week include 20 of €1,000 and 20 of €500.
Prize Bonds are an Ireland State Savings product which, instead of paying interest, offers bond holders the chance to win cash prizes every week. All winnings are tax-free, and Prize Bonds can be cashed in at any time after the minimum holding period of three months.
