On the 6th February 2026, peacefully at the Limerick University Hospital in the presence of her loving family.

Carmel will be sadly and forever missed by her beloved husband Kevin, native of Pallaskenry; daughters Audrey Long (Monaleen), Hilery Scales (Liscannor), June Kirwan (Parteen), Hazel Neville (Sydney), and son John Neville (Truagh).

She will also be sadly missed by her brother Melvin Mc Namara (Killaloe), her sisters-in-law Bridget, Kay, Angela, Mary, Joan and Deirdre; brothers-in-law Liam, Joe, Dan and Michael; daughter-in-law Jenny; sons-in-law Gary, Peter, Joe and Pete; grandchildren Nicola, Mark, Sarah, Ronan, Martina, Kevin, Stephen, PC, Chris, Jack, Lexi, Amy and Lucy; great-grandchildren Caoimhe, Peta and Aida; and her many relatives, neighbours and friends.

Predeceased by her brothers Aidan and Brian, and sisters Rita and Renee.

May Carmel’s gentle soul rest in peace.

Carmel will repose at St. Patrick’s Church, Parteen on Sunday, 8th February from 5pm to 7pm.

Requiem Mass will take place at 11am on Monday, 9th February followed by burial in Ballycannon Cemetery, Meelick.
