The business partner of former professional footballer Stephen Ireland has been suspended by the Football Association (FA) in England for using Ireland as an agent when he was not qualified.
The move by the FA followed a Sunday Independent investigation in 2024 that highlighted how young Irish footballers were claiming to be represented by former professional players who were not registered agents.
