Question: Myself and my husband, both professionals, worked hard to set up our businesses, and have given back in so many ways and in acts of personal sacrifice. I felt we had set a good example for our children, all sons. Every opportunity was given to them, the best education and practical and financial support, to set them up in life. I am proud to say they are doing well.
It is their wives I am at pains to understand. They are stay-at-home mothers. All are highly educated and above average in terms of life experience, and have chosen to stay at home to raise their children. Other women of my age who I know professionally and personally find themselves in a similar situation with their daughters-in-law.
