The grand stretch in the evening would be a welcome antidote to those pesky winter energy bills landing in hallways and email inboxes across the country.
After the first winter in four years without the financial help of government energy credits and following a slew of price hikes by suppliers, squeezed households may be more amenable to swapping their oil, gas or solid fuel heating system for a heat pump after the Government’s improved grants for the devices kicked in last week.
